I’ve had my Ultimaker 2 for over 2 years now, and have successfully printed over 80 things of my own design, and several useful objects downloaded from model sharing sites. Over this period I have marvelled at the capabilities of this machine, but there have been one or two aspects that I have become less enamoured with over time, so I set about overcoming them.

Moving the feeder to the side of the machine has been one of the best things I have ever done. Making something to help load filaments into the standard feeder, and a simple device to prevent blobs of primed filament being dragged onto the build-plate come a close second.

I am including details of these, and links to download the model files below.  I still have several other things to share with you, but these 3 will have to do for the moment.
